Series 109
ProBond
Generic Type
Low Stress Penetrating Epoxy Sealer
Common Usage
Series 109 ProBond is a lower-temperature curing, thin-film, low-stress, epoxy designed to adhere to a multitude of substrates, including old finishes, and is frequently used as an overcoating primer. Series 109 is solvent-free and is applied at a low film thickness to reduce stress and weight on old tightly adhered coatings creating a foundation to accept high-performance epoxy and polyurethane finishes. Also used, when specified, as the primer under Lavacrete polymer concrete epoxy toppings. Note: Adhesion analysis of old finishes and test patches are recommended before overcoating a structure. Reference the latest version of Tnemec Technical Bulletin 98-10 for more information.
